Ahead of the third Grenfell anniversary, the Young NHS Grenfell Ambassadors have reflected on the different lessons they’ve learnt.
In the videos the five ambassadors, who work to empower other youth in the community, share candidly from their personal experiences.
‘Our differences don’t matter’ – Naila
‘Stronger together’– Shaheed
‘Cherish your loved ones’ – Randa
‘The youth have a voice’ – Khadija
‘We will learn from it’ – Johara
The group was formed after Grenfell, as young people in the community were not engaging with conventional NHS services, and had reported feeling ‘invisible.’
It is a joint NHS and community support group, run by therapists from The Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service (GHWS) and the community youth group, Making Communities Work and Grow (MCWG).
